Tourist Games

After weeks of traveling and experiencing new cultures, I must say that I really missed playing a tourist for while.
Certain days were exciting while others brought nothing but worry!
Norway seemed dull at first but then childhood memories took over and places seemed more familiar step by step. Even The 1975 concert in Oslo brought some familiarity to senses.
Sweden has always confused me with their metro system, but hey ho I managed to survive rainbow of maps and get from one point to another! Only language barrier seemed to play a joke on me, instead of going to hockey game (which at time I assumed was being held there) - I ended up watching football game at Globen Arena... sometimes things happen for a reason - lesson learned!

Denmark brought some adrenaline rush, never will get used to metro which has no actual driver to control it, I am all for innovation, but some things just don't sit right in my head!

Playing a tourist from Scotland certainly seems more fun when you are accompanied by one, but deep down I know I will never be able to hide my Latvian ROOTS...

We love educating ourselves at the every chance we get. We love sightseeing and museums... we just love adventure- its in our blood!
Now settling down for a month till next trip outside Scotland, I'm already looking forward to trips to castles and tracks in the woods, maybe a festival or two if I am still in good physical health...
I miss home more than before and maybe this next trip will heal my soul for a while.
You might be away from your roots but nothing will take away your love for home.
I will be forever a tourist in Scotland even after years of living here...
